Sophie Ethell is a Fine Arts student at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her specialty is within the discipline of sculpture and installation practice. In December of 2022, Sophie was the recipient of the Maude Glover Fleay Scholarship awarded on the basis of academic merit, and she was also asked to act as peer-mentor for the incoming first year students in March of 2023. Sophie’s passion for Sculpture has extended further than the Victorian College of the Arts, she has installed her work at four music and art events across Victoria and New South Wales over the last two years. Sophie is a keen explorer, and believes in the importance of travel in forming a greater understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
